Blended families are on the increase in Kenya. Such are made up of parents and children or a child from previous relationships.
These celebrity families have proved to be functioning quite well.
- Diana Marua and Bahati
Gospel artiste Bahati and Diana are also a blended family because the couple also incorporates Mueni, a daughter Bahati had in a past relationship.
2. Catherine Kamau (selina) who is married to Philip Karanja
Philip Karanja is the step father to Catherine’s son, Leon. The two walked down the aisle 2018 in an invites only wedding.

Joan Munyi is a YouTube content creator and is famously known as Yummy Mummy. The two have been married for over a year now. Zach Munyi is the step dad to Joan’s son.

Maureen Momanyi is the step mother to Paul Ndichu’s twins, Zawadi and Raha whose biological mother is Grace Msalame.
5. Akothee
She has three daughters and two sons from different marriages. Akothee bore 4 girls from the first marriage, but sadly one died. The other three are between the ages of 14 to 16.
One of her kids died because she could not afford to take her to hospital. She later gave birth to her fourth daughter in the year 2000.
Her sons are from relationships with a white man who she claimed was only interested in having children with her but not marriage.

Fashionable Stepmum as she likes to be called on her You Tube channel is married to Maj Kariuki and have created a beautiful blended family of 4 children with two biological ones.
She is among the most vocal people who have embraced blended families.
